  1. This is my families 3rd visit to Nerja and second time staying in this beautiful villa. This time, for more space we took advantage of the new apartment. The villa is furnished to a very high standard and the owners have thought of every little detail. We were so comfortable and made use of the swimming pool and jacuzzi. The apartment was well laid out and furnished to a high standard. The only issue we had was with the shower in the apartment, which wasn’t draining properly, so my daughter and her partner had to use the shower in the main villa. This was an inconvenience, However Ann and Chris did all they could to resolve the problem. I’m sure this is just teething problems and will be sorted. We all love Nerja and I’m sure we will return again

A lovely villa, fantastic location, very clean and great facilities. There are lots of little touches that make the villa very homely. Super quality kitchen equipment including nice glasses, cutlery and crockery. You have a choice of gas or charcoal BBQ. The pool area and hot tub are fantastic. We spent our first holiday with our 9 month old baby here and used the heated pool and jacuzzi daily. The location being a few minutes from the beach and old town make this a great place for a family holiday.

  3. We have recently returned from a family holiday at this beautiful villa celebrating my 60th birthday with our sons and their wives. From entering the villa all I can say is that we were extremely pleased with the presentation and quality of all of the furnishings, even down to the crockery and glasses. The villa is well laid out with plenty of space, the pool was checked and cleaned during our visit as well as the jacuzzi. Everything has been thought through for the comfort of your holiday. The area is quiet and not far from the beach which is easy to walk to – easier going down than coming back up like most of Nerja ! I would definitely recommend this villa.

Surroundings beautiful. Nice and cooled bedrooms. We can definitely recommend this villa to everyone searching an upmarket house for a nice visit in Nerja. 5. This is our third visit to this beautiful villa in Aljimar. It has a fantastic interior with every possible convenience and amenity with high level of comfort. The design is modern and yet homely. The outside areas are fabulous with beautiful private pool and plenty of seating and lounging areas. The 3 outdoor areas provide sun and shade in equal measures all day to suit everyone’s needs. The owners are wonderful to deal with and have agents who are always available should there be any problems, which I can say I have never encountered any. Overall this is the best villa we have stayed in and we have tried several over the past 12 years. Highly recommended

  6. Aljamar was our home for 2 weeks in July 2018 and we enjoyed every minute of our stay!
We were a family of 6 spanning 3 generations (aged between 3 and 65) and everyone found what they needed in the villa – including plenty of space. The lovely pool area was the highlight for everyone and although we visited the blue flag Burriana beach several times (it’s only a 5-10min walk away), the kids were forever asking when we would be going back to the house!
Ann & Chris, the local property managers, could not have been more helpful – from the point of booking to our sad departure to the airport to fly back home. Nothing was too much trouble and any small issue we had during our stay was fixed immediately.
You really don’t need a car for this Villa (we didn’t have one – Ann & Chris arranged excellent airport transfers for us). 2 supermarkets are within a 10min walk away and the provided shopping trolley was really useful for stocking up on provisions. You are spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants, with literally hundreds of them within 5 – 20min walk from the villa.
The walk back from Burriana beach or the old town does involve a rather steep hill and we would recommend anyone with small children to take a buggy, even if your child is on the verge of not needing one (when our little one wasn’t in it, it was a useful ‘mule’ to make carrying our beach gear just a little easier!).
Overall, a wonderful stay in a lovely villa. Thank you & we look forward to returning!

  7. We enjoyed a 2 week stay in Aljamer apartment, the apartment is furnished to a high standard. Very clean with all amenities and equipment you would need

Both front terrace and swim pool areas are really nice areas,

Chris and Ann who meet you are helpful, and Steve the Pool man was excellent too.

Nerja is a lovely place, with Burriana Beach about 10 minute walk away (up hill on way back) and the main town about 20 Minutes away.

Highly recommend the villa and definetley will return

  8. We enjoyed a one week stay in Villa Miramar on the 6th Aug 2018 with all of our family – 6 adults and 2 children, 6 and 7. The villa is absolutely perfect with all the facilities you need, a real home from home and to a high standard. The villa was clean and everything in full working order. Chris was extremely helpful. There is a supermarket nearby and it’s a short walk to the beach – it is uphill on the way back. Nerja is beautiful with lots of shops, restaurants and bars, you don’t need to go anywhere else. There is something for everyone in this villa, if you want to chill out, be in the pool or work out in the gym!

  9. Stayed at Villa Miramar for 2 weeks in July 2018. Fantastic property with everything you need for a self catering holiday. Chris is a great guy and always avaible by phone or email. The pool guy Steve was also really friendly and chatty, we were really happy to sit and chat while he cleaned the pool! From the apartment to the main floor of the villa is 3 flights of stairs so just bear in mind if anyone has mobility issues. Would recommend letting Chris and Ann arrange transfers as the company they used were very reliable. The villa is in an amazing spot as the sun starts on the roof terrace first thing and stays in the sun until early evening. There are plenty of places to be in the shade if that’s what you want.

  10. Stayed at Villa Miramar for 1 week in August 2018, we were 10 persons between family and friends. In one word : THE Paradise.
First o all, a big thank to Chris and Ann for their welcome and relationship. They facilitated our arrival by leaving our luggages at the villa what allowed us to go to the lunch befors to install our clothes. Chris and Ann are very kind, they made it easy for us to book a transfer for our outing in Malaga and Granada.
Regarding the villa, what a villa! Everithing is perfect, the villa is furnished with great taste, the furniture is beautiful and the equipment of good quality as well as bedding. The villa is very well located in Burriana, the beach is 5 minutes walk and the center is a half an hour but it is still a pleasure to ride there but we get used it! The last hill is just a little feel for the return on foot. Otherwise, there is Nerja taxis easy to book for approx 5 – 7 euros.
The villa I miss already, I recommend and for sure we will come back 🙂

  11. Returned from a lovely stay in this villa in Nerja. Lovely quiet location as it is in a very residential area, though easy 5 minutes walk to Burriana Beach area, with its many bars, restaurants and shops. We only went into this area once as the old town is fantastic. We visited with 3 teenage children, 19, 16 and 14 who stayed in the separate apartment. This was great for them to feel independent of us and it was furnished beautifully, though I would be very reluctant to do this with any younger children. Pool area is a great size and enough good quality sun loungers for all. For those who want some shade there are 2 seating areas and 2 brolley’s for over the loungers to help. The villa and apartment are split level and there are lots of steps so anyone with mobility issues or toddlers may need to give this some thought. Fine for us but did think had Grandma come with us she may have struggled. Bedrooms all of a good size, especially the master, all with superb air conditioning. A safe is provided for passports, cash etc. Lovely terrace with great views to laze on an evening and drink Sangria! Sky TV in all UK channels also available. A huge supermarket is a 10 minute walk away up hill with the empty shopping trolley and luckily downhill on the return leg. Note the main supermarket is closed on Sundays, so a much smaller one is all you will have. We took no toiletries with us as we knew we could buy them reasonably there. It’s the equivalent of a UK Tesco/Sainsbury size and similar in price. The old town is really beautiful and you can eat in the many restaurants from their special menus(of which there are many) from as little as 10 euros for a 3 course meal, to speciality steak and seafood restaurants. Its a great relaxing bustling typically Spanish small town. Would highly recommend.

  12. We have recently returned from staying in Villa 9C in Aljamar and had a wonderful holiday. The villa is extremely well equipped with everything and good quality furnishings and kitchen equipment. We found extra chairs and a parasol in the garage which we were able to take to the beach with us and a large selection of inflatables and lilos for the pool. We very much appreciated the seating and pergola areas outside leading from the lounge which were in the shade during the hot sunshine. Equally there were plenty of sunny areas around the pool and on the terraces. The hot tub on the upper terrace was just wonderful with fantastic views across the town and mountains, equally we enjoyed the same views from the large terrace leading off the lounge area. Burriana beach is a few minutes walk away with all facilities and many places to eat, drink and shop. The Balcon de Europa is about a 20 minute walk down and uphill again where there are a huge variety of restaurants to choose from and quaint shops along the narrow streets. The view across the mediterranean is superb from the Balcon de Europa and the area has a very relaxed atmosphere where you can eat, drink and shop. I would highly recommend this property as it really has everything you could possibly need and more.

  13. We have stayed in villas in Nerja a few times now. Each time there is always something you need to complete your holiday. When we arrived at your villa it is obvious that Chris and Ann go the whole hog to make it presentable. It has the wow factor when you walk in any room. The fact it was on practically five floors gave everyone a place to go if they wanted some space on their own. The oldest in the family is 70 the youngest is 6 years old. When we went shopping it is a long drag to lug your shopping bag.But there is a shopping trolley in the cupboard. When one of the grandkids broke his toys we found super glue in the toolbox. You literally didn’t want for anything.I’d give it 5 stars for presentation and 5 stars for every thing else. It was the best villa for everything. The sun came on the pool area around 1pm and we don’t use the pool till after lunch. It was just fabulous. The balcony for your evening meal we could eat and watch the sun set. What more can I say than it exceeded all expectations.
Thanks for an unforgettable holiday .And thanks to Chris and Ann for working the Oracle behind the scenes.

With 10 people: 6 adults and 4 teenagers, we were the last week of october in villa Miramar. The house is built on a slope and surprisingly large, from roof terrace to gym no less than 6 floors. The living floor (kitchen, dining room, lounge, terrace) with the entrance at street level was enough for our group to eat together and see the sunset. The kitchen is equipped with all appliances and has enough storage space.
The whole house is well furnished. 3 bedrooms are on the floor below the living area, with a terrace overlooking the pool. The other 2 bedrooms are in the apartment, where our 4 granddaughters had the realm alone.
The location of the house is nice. The last of 5, built on a kind of valley. From the pool terrace it looked like a green oasis, with almost tropical vegetation. The acoustics in the “valley” were good, so the sound of the apartments across the road could be a bit loud. We were there in the autumn, it was very quiet then, but it is possible in the summer a little noisier. The house is not recommended for families with small children, because of the many (marble) stairs. It is important for the elderly to know that the road to the beach is steep, which requires a good condition on the way back.
Nerja itself is a nice place, with many shops and eateries. Beautiful streets, well maintained and lots of (palm) trees. Despite the fact that it was late October, after a hot summer, everything was still fresh and green. Around the village are many residential areas, but nowhere is high-rise.
The Burriana beach is near the villa, a large beach with many amenities. And walking through the village you come across more big and small beaches. Some can only be reached by stairs.
It is nice that we could order groceries by Linda and Alan, so that we had a full fridge on arrival on Sunday.
In short: a large, comfortable house in a beautiful atmospheric village, an oasis in a coastal region where high-rise buildings set the tone.

  15. We had a Superb family holiday in the Miramar. Our party consisted of me , over 70, and 4 young children but despite the steep hill up to the house from the beach area we still had a wonderful time. The house is extremely well equipped with sky tv and a great swimming pool area. Possibly not suitable for older guests or those with restricted movement for most it is a great position. Strongly recommended. Colin Sexstone
