So nice to stay here again. It’s so well kept and is very comfortable with everything we could possibly need. Nice to know Chris and Anne are there to help. Hope to return again soon. Joy Taylor. Stayed at the Villa Aljamar Date of Stay: February 2018
Lovely spacious Villa. The Villa was just as described, walking distance to beach. We paid extra for the Hot tub which was lovely. This was a last minute getaway with the kids and grandkids, and we were so lucky to have wonderful November weather. Would recommend. Chrissy B. Beautiful Villa. Villa was as per the pictures, clean and well maintained….nothing to complain about, we loved it! As a frequent visitor to Nerja we knew the location, bars and restaurants…for those not knowing Nerja eating places are plenty! The service from start to finish was excellent, Chris and Ann remained in contact and made the whole process streamlined. We would definitely recommend this Villa to friends and relatives.

Returned from a lovely stay in this villa in Nerja. Lovely quiet location as it is in a very residential area, though easy 5 minutes walk to Burriana Beach area, with its many bars, restaurants and shops. We only went into this area once as the old town is fantastic. We visited with 3 teenage children, 19, 16 and 14 who stayed in the separate apartment. This was great for them to feel independent of us and it was furnished beautifully, though I would be very reluctant to do this with any younger children. Pool area is a great size and enough good quality sun loungers for all. For those who want some shade there are 2 seating areas and 2 brolley’s for over the loungers to help. The villa and apartment are split level and there are lots of steps so anyone with mobility issues or toddlers may need to give this some thought. Fine for us but did think had Grandma come with us she may have struggled. Bedrooms all of a good size, especially the master, all with superb air conditioning. A safe is provided for passports, cash etc. Lovely terrace with great views to laze on an evening and drink Sangria! Sky TV in all UK channels also available. A huge supermarket is a 10 minute walk away up hill with the empty shopping trolley and luckily downhill on the return leg. Note the main supermarket is closed on Sundays, so a much smaller one is all you will have. We took no toiletries with us as we knew we could buy them reasonably there. It’s the equivalent of a UK Tesco/Sainsbury size and similar in price. The old town is really beautiful and you can eat in the many restaurants from their special menus(of which there are many) from as little as 10 euros for a 3 course meal, to speciality steak and seafood restaurants. Its a great relaxing bustling typically Spanish small town. Would highly recommend.

Burriana Beach boasts 800 metres of fine, golden sand and is considered to be the best beach in Nerja. This area has it all, a magnificent landscape, a large promenade with various shops, restaurants and bars, luxury loungers, water sports and facilities for everyone. All this within walking distance of Nerja town centre. Burriana is popular year-round and famous for its beach front chiringuitos serving paella, cooked in a giant dish over an open fire. You’ll find restaurants to suit all tastes, plus cocktail bars and cafés. There’s plenty to keep you entertained, including sea kayaking which is highly recommended when visiting Burriana. There are a number of routes that take you to visit the neighbouring beaches of Maro. You can also parasail, dive, play volleyball and jet ski! Read more

Protected by the Sierra de Almijara mountains Nerja has its own micro-climate which includes approximately 320 days of sunshine per year.
Just 56km east of Málaga with the Sierra Almijara rising behind it, you’ll find the charming town of Nerja. Originally an old fishing village, Nerja has become a popular destination for those seeking a taste of real Spain. Nerja has succeeded in rebuffing developers, allowing its centre to retain a low-rise village charm. At its heart is the beautiful Balcón de Europa, a palm-lined promontory built on the foundations of an old fort. The Balcón de Europa offers panoramic views over the Mediterranean sea with pretty coved beaches either side. This town has much to offer its visitors, including its most famous attraction the Nerja Caves, located to the east of the town. Nerja was recently included in the top 10 best destinations to visit in 2018 as voted by tourists worldwide. It’s perfect for beachgoers and explorers alike. Nerja is home to over three hundred restaurants so the choice is most definitely yours when it comes to food. No trip to Nerja is complete without a tapas crawl, which is the best way to sample the local cuisine. Discover more…
